Riley Reiff could be someone that helps their offensive line grow in 2022.

The Chicago Bears are a team that has one thing on their mind and one thing only. They want to develop a young quarterback named Justin Fields. In order to do that properly, there are a few things that you probably want to do right so that it ends up working.

Of course, you need to give him a good coaching staff that implements schemes that fit his skillset, you need to give him weapons to work with, and you need to give him protection. The latter of the three is clearly the most important.

Fields needs as much protection as he can get for a few reasons. For one, it will allow him to make plays that are of the “spectacular” variety. He is incredibly athletic and can make big plays when he has all of the necessary time to work with. Another reason is that it will make him less injury-prone because he will remain on his feet more often.

Reilly Reiff could be a guy that helps them if the Bears wanted a low-risk high reward option. He was injured at the end of the 2021-22 season and was unable to play in Super Bowl LVI. However, he was still there cheering on his teammates.

The Bengals’ offensive line takes a lot of flack but it might have gotten less if Riley Reiff was missing for all of that time. If he is healthy and good to go for 2022-23, the Chicago Bears should be all-in on adding someone like him to help protect the QB.
