5 trades the Chicago Bears could make before free agency

The Chicago Bears could trade Tarik Cohen
Last year, the Bears somehow fell into a fantastic situation. They now have tremendous depth at running back. Finding Khalil Herbert that late in the 2021 NFL Draft ended up paying off in a big way, as the kid got some playing time in his first year and took advantage.
Going into the 2022 season, the Bears have both Herbert and starter David Montgomery to work off each other. Tarik Cohen is coming back from an ACL injury and, quite honestly, may not have a job when he’s healthy. The Bears could (and should) re-sign All Pro Jakeem Grant as their primary return specialist.
The Kansas City Chiefs, meanwhile, are always looking for more speed. They should always be looking for more playmakers. If they added Cohen, there is no doubt Andy Reid would find a way to get Cohen the ball in creative ways.
Good things usually happen when you give Patrick Mahomes more speed around him, and when Cohen is healthy, he’s got plenty of that. Running back has been a revolving door, too, behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Giving up a sixth rounder for Cohen could turn out to be good value for both sides, here.
