3 insane Chicago Blackhawks trade packages for Alex DeBrincat
Going from the Chicago Blackhawks to Edmonton Oilers would be great for Alex DeBrincat.
The Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have made some trades together in recent memory. Most recently came the trade that sent Duncan Keith up north and brought Caleb Jones to Chicago. Now, trading Alex DeBrincat there would be a great fit for everyone involved.
For the Hawks, getting back a first-round pick and Philip Broberg for DeBrincat would be great. Broberg is one of Edmonton’s top prospects that should be a really good National Hockey League player one day soon. The Oilers selected him with the eighth overall pick of the first round in the 2019 NHL Draft.
In the AHL so far this season, he has two goals and 15 assists for 17 points. He also has played in eight NHL games so far this season in which he only has one assist. The hope is that he is able to elevate his game as he really matures (he is currently only 20 years old).
As for DeBrincat, can you imagine a sniper like this on Connor McDavid’s wing? Leon Draisaitl is great at it but they get more depth when he plays center on another line. If they were able to add DeBrincat, he might score even more goals than he does in Chicago which is a lot. It would be absolutely magical to watch. It could also get them into the playoffs.
