The Chicago Bears could sign Byron Pringle in free agency

The Kansas City Chiefs offense is one of the most potent groups in all of football, and for several reasons. Obviously, Patrick Mahomes is a magician at quarterback. He’s made everyone around him better since entering the league. He’s not only been great for Tyreek Hill and Travis Kielce, but also the secondary options like Byron Pringle and Demarcus Robinson — both of whom are free agents after the season.

Focusing in on Pringle, he’s ascended to the number three wide receiver role in Kansas City this season. Mahomes clearly trusts him, and Pringle delivers when called upon. The Chiefs also have Mecole Hardman, who was second among receivers on the Chiefs this year.

The Chiefs might be forced to choose between Robinson or Pringle this offseason, along with paying some additional hefty salaries to other guys on the roster. If Kansas City went with the cheaper route, Robinson, that opens the door for Pringle to get a larger contract in free agency.

This past season, Pringle caught 42 passes for 568 yards and five touchdowns — the second-most touchdowns among receivers on the team, even more than Hardman (2).
