San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks could really use a goalie like Marc-Andre Fleury.

Some people might be surprised to see the San Jose Sharks on this list. Not many see them as a Stanley Cup contender but if they add a goalie they certainly have the pieces to make a deep playoff run. They currently sit in the final Western Conference Wild Card spot with hopes of getting in.

With the experienced core that they have, it isn’t unrealistic for them to make it but it also isn’t a lock because the bubble in the West is loaded with great teams. If they were to add a future Hall of Fame goalie like Marc-Andre Fleury, their chances would be increased.

Similar to the Avalanche, the Sharks are getting surprisingly good goaltending from goalies you wouldn’t necessarily expect it from. James Reimer and Adin Hill have both been sensational. Adding Fleury would just make it a sure thing that they would have someone with significant playoff experience and success. The trio would certainly have a good chance to get them into the postseason.

We don’t know for sure if the Blackhawks are going to trade Fleury but it would be foolish not to. They are not going to the playoffs so getting picks and prospects for expiring contracts would really help them for their future. It will be fun to (hopefully) watch Fleury in the playoffs on another team. He deserves it.
