Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers would be really smart to consider adding Marc-Andre Fleury.

The Edmonton Oilers got off to a really good start this season. Since then, however, they have started to fall off. COVID-19 hitting the Canadian teams harder than the American teams has made their schedule significantly more difficult but they need help. They could really use a goalie like Marc-Andre Fleury.

The Oilers have the two best players on planet earth in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Each of them does their part in helping the Oilers get what they need in order to win. However, they can’t play goalie which is something that could really help them right now.

If Edmonton landed Fleury, they would be able to get the goaltending that they need every night in order to have a chance. Fleury can lose games but it is almost never his fault. He makes the Blackhawks appear to be watchable and they have a significantly worse team than the Oilers.

This is a way for the Oilers to get back in the playoff race and compete for the Stanley Cup. It is also a way for the organization to show McDavid that they are committed to winning so that he wants to be there in the long term.
