The Chicago Bears could trade Khalil Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers

The age-old story with the Chargers is pretty simple. They are usually a talented, competitive team. However, they cannot take that next step. They haven’t been able to get over the hump.

Last season, Los Angeles’ defense was towards the back half of the league in sacks with 35 as a team. That’s a tough number, considering they boast one of the league’s best pass rushers in Joey Bosa. Adding Mack on the other side would give the Chargers the scariest pass rush duo in all of football, though.

This trade is pretty simple. The Bears get a first, fourth and sixth rounder from the Chargers in exchange for Mack and a fifth (no. 146). The picks sent from Los Angeles would be no. 17, no. 120 and no. 195.

With that no. 17 pick, the Bears could easily pick up one of the draft’s top wide receivers or cornerbacks. Guys they could see in that area include Washington cornerback Trent McDuffie, Florida cornerback Kaiir Elam or even Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams.

The rest of the NFL might hate Chicago for pairing Bosa with Mack, but getting him out of the NFC is at least good enough. The Bears wouldn’t have to worry about those two, outside of a random regular season matchup, unless they met in the Super Bowl.
