The Chicago Bears could trade Khalil Mack to the Philadelphia Eagles

This past season, the Philadelphia Eagles worked their way into the playoffs but were ultimately bounced by the defending Super Bowl champions. After a convincing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Eagles enter their offseason early.

Last year, the Eagles defense was near the middle of the pack, but just towards the back half of the league, giving up 22.6 points per game. Most notably, though, the Eagles were second-to-last in sacks in the NFL with just 29 as a team. In landing Mack, that number immediately goes up in 2022. But, what would they give up?

In this deal, the Bears would get the much-needed higher draft capital in one of the Eagles’ first rounders (no. 16), along with a third-round pick (no. 83). Chicago sends one of their fifth rounders (no. 146) back to Philadelphia along with Mack.

But, the Bears also get a former first-round pick in wide receiver Jalen Reagor. So far, Reagor hasn’t panned out to the level the Eagles would have liked. But, maybe a fresh start and an innovative offense — hopefully, innovative — would help him kickstart his pro career.

Reagor was one of the most electric playmakers, especially after the catch, back at TCU. If he’s used correctly, Reagor still has plenty of upside.
