This offseason is an important one for the Chicago Bears, and already we are seeing the franchise in the midst of some crucial decisions.

After the firing of former head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace, the Bears have two integral roles to fill. Chicago is in the process of interviewing for both positions and have interviewed a total of 14 candidates combined, thus far.

But, after the team hires a coach and general manager, those two will have a tall task ahead of them in managing this roster and making some additional decisions.

One of those decisions might end up being what the team should do with Khalil Mack. He’s on the wrong side of 30, and taking up a huge chunk of salary cap space. Not only that, but most importantly, the Bears could use draft capital in a bad way.

There are a few good reasons the Chicago Bears should trade Khalil Mack, and plenty of potential buyers.

With the way Robert Quinn exploded back onto the scene last season, the Bears may end up being fine moving on from Mack. All things considered, draft capital could be used to fill much bigger holes in this roster.

With Quinn and Trevis Gipson starting, the Bears still have a formidable duo at the position. In terms of their front seven, they continued to get pressure even without Mack down the stretch.

The Bears have holes at wide receiver, cornerback, safety and offensive line, to name a few. With only two picks in the first four rounds of this year’s draft, trading Mack could end up netting them the necessary capital to fill those holes.

Which teams might be interested and what could the Bears get? Let’s take a look.
