2. The Chicago Bulls should wait and see if Thaddeus Young is bought out

One of the moves that would make Bulls fans happy is if the San Antonio Spurs bought out Thaddeus Young, only for Chicago to scoop up a former United Center favorite.

It would be pretty ironic for the Spurs to buy him out after being included in the deal which landed DeMar DeRozan on the Bulls. Not only did the Bulls win the trade — and land the offseason’s best signing — but they could end up getting back the main player involved in the original deal.

As this season began, Young was almost non-existent within the Spurs’ rotation. It was surprising, actually, because Young embodies everything Gregg Popovich desires in his players. He had played just about 14 minutes a game up until mid-December.

Then, he was completely phased out altogether. Young has played in just two games in the last month, and he’s healthy. For whatever reason, Young isn’t even involved in the Spurs immediate plans.

The Bulls would gladly take him back, too. Young is a guy who can guard positions three through five and offers playmaking on offense, as well. Last season, Young put up the best statistical season of his career with the Bulls, in terms of overall efficiency. This would be a dream for the Bulls. Although, this next candidate would be an equal dream for Bulls fans.
