3 under the radar candidates to replace Ryan Pace for Bears
2. Omar Khan
The Chicago Bears could try to snag Omar Khan before it is too late.
The Chicago Bears are in desperate need of a good general manager. There are some good candidates out there but it is hard to trust anyone that George McCaskey or Ted Philips like. With Omar Khan, however, you can trust him after being with an organization like the Pittsburgh Steelers for as long as he has been.
The Steelers have been one of the model franchises in football for a very long time. Since 2000, the England Patriots have been on another level but the Steelers are right there in that top tier of NFL teams. Everyone in the organization deserves a lot of credit for it.
Khan was there for a lot of the good days. He has been with their organization since 2001 so a lot of success came while he was there in all different roles. If he came to the Chicago Bears, he would be bringing a plethora of positive experiences that could really help advance the franchise.
He knows what being around extreme talent is like so he is as strong of a candidate as there can be. There is a way to take a talented roster and make it a championship roster. The hope would be that Khan can do that as someone in full control.
