Once again, in the fifth round, the Bears go with an Alabama prospect. This time, it’s another cornerback to help ease the pain of that spot. Bama’s Josh Jobe is a 6-foot man corner who could end up going anywhere between the third and fifth rounds.

Jobe is a strong, physical player who is aggressive at the line of scrimmage. He thrives in disrupting wide receivers right off the bat. Jobe is also an aggressive tackler. His game, all around, is full of brunt force.

Jobe is another willing tackler, which would give the Bears something they have been lacking big time in their secondary. Sometimes, he has a tendency to over-pursue which can get him in trouble. But, he’s a willing man for contact.

His fit is definitely on the outside, as he is a great matchup with bigger outside receivers who offer him a physical battle. Jobe doesn’t necessarily have great ball skills, but is good when it comes to the catch point, in terms of disallowing his receivers to make the play.

Jobe would come in and likely be a depth piece initially, and potentially compete for a nickel position. In the fifth round, the Bears can’t go wrong.
