Over the past couple of seasons, one of the weaknesses of this Bears team has been up front. At times, the offensive line has come together and played well. Other times, it’s been a mess. There has been no consistency.

Next season, ideally the Bears will have Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom at the tackles with Cody Whitehair in the middle somewhere. Depending upon what they do with James Daniels, the Bears will need another one or two interior linemen.

If the Bears can snag an offensive lineman out of Alabama, they should take the opportunity. Typically, these guys have serviceable careers at the very least. Emil Ekiyor is a 6-foot-3, 325-pound interior lineman who is a big, powerful guy.

Ekiyor stands strong and doesn’t often get pushed back. He gets great leverage when he latches on and moves opposing linemen back with relative ease in the run game. The man is a tank of a frame, with decent length and width. The biggest weakness for Ekiyor would be his lack of athleticism.
