With their first pick in this year’s draft, the Bears go offense. It’s all about Fields, right? The Bears go after the best receiver left on the board with USC’s Drake London.

London is the perfect type of receiver for this Bears offense. He is exactly who they need. At 6-foot-5, London gives Fields a towering target he can throw the ball up to in crucial situations. London’s ability to win 50/50 balls is tremendous.

As a two-sport athlete, London also played basketball for USC. He is a ridiculously-built specimen, weighing in at 210 pounds and offering the Bears one heck of a vertical.

This past season at USC, London caught 88 passes for 1,084 yards and seven scores.

Aside from offering a huge catch radius and leaping ability, London is also phenomenal after the catch. He’s not easy to tackle, obviously, due to his size. He would offer the Bears something they have long-needed in this category. If Fields gets him the ball, London will get up field.

With this pick, the Bears immediately have their two starting wide receivers in London and Mooney — and they would work well off each other’s strengths. The offense gets immensely better with London, and fans could feel assured Fields’ development continues strong.
