The Chicago Blackhawks could get some good assets in exchange for Patrick Kane.

Patrick Kane is one of the best offensive players in the National Hockey League. He is well on his way to being the greatest American-born player to ever live and you can make an argument that he is the greatest Blackhawk of all time.

Because of this, the Hawks would get a haul if they traded him with a year and a half left on his deal. They might even get a lot for him if they trade him at the 2023 trade deadline with only one spring left on his deal.

A first-round pick would have to be included no matter what. As mentioned before, the Avalanche doesn’t have that pick in 2022 so it would have to be the following year. That 2022 third-round pick in this trade could really help as well.

Andre Burakovsky is a very good player that is only 26 years old. He only has the remainder of this season left on his deal so the Hawks might want to have an extension before making a trade like this but they could also just try once he is there.

Tyson Jost is a 23-year-old player that the Avalanche drafted in the first round (10th overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft. He only has four goals and five assists for nine points in 27 games this season. They are waiting for him to reach that offensive potential that he once showed but it hasn’t been there yet.

A change of scenery might be good for him. He would probably get more ice with the Hawks so that could help as well. There are no rumors surrounding a Patrick Kane trade with anyone, let alone the Avalanche, but this is just fun to think about with the return and the salary cap.
