Last week, the Chicago Blackhawks had two huge matchups with the New York Rangers. It was a very tough set of games as they got beat but them twice with a win against the New York Islanders sandwiched in the middle. New York is good but they have a lot to prove. However, they might be looking to add to their roster before the trade deadline.
The New York Post wrote a piece suggesting a trade between the two clubs involving Patrick Kane. It would make a lot of sense for both teams but you can tell it would be one of those massive NHL trades that sends shockwaves throughout the sport.
Kane is one of the greatest players of all time. He is certainly in the conversation for the greatest American player and greatest Blackhawks player. Trading him away as an organization would be really hard but it could benefit them in many ways. They aren’t going anywhere with him anymore so getting something in return might help.

The Rangers would want him because they might be able to make a deep run if they added someone like that. They already have Artemi Panarin in the mix and we know how good those two once were as linemates on the Blackhawks.
