Chicago Bears memorable wins at Lambeau Field in the Favre and Rodgers Era

The Chicago Bears dominated the Green Bay Packers until 1992. The Monsters of the Midway held an 80-57-6 record over the Cheeseheads to start the 1992 season.
That season also coincided with Packers legendary quarterback Brett Favre taking over as the starter. Green Bay has dominated the rivalry ever since with a 42-15 record.
The Green Bay Packers now own the series over the Chicago Bears with a 102-95-6 overall record. Win 103 seems like a foregone conclusion when the two rivals meet at Lambeau Field on Sunday night.
The oldest NFL rivalry has become so one-sided that Chicago Bears fans have a sense of dread every time the Packers appear on the schedule. It used to never be like that.
Prior to the 1990’s, the Bears had the advantage over the Packers in every decade except the 1960’s.
Everything changed in the 1990s when free agency and the hard salary cap came to the NFL. It changed the trajectory of the rivalry drastically.
Now, Bears fans hope and pray that this will be Aaron Rodgers last season in green and gold. The Chicago faithful also hopes and prays that Justin Fields can develop into the quarterback that dominates Green Bay much like Favre did and Rodgers is currently doing to the Bears.
Fields is playing Sunday so he gets his first crack to win at Lambeau Field where Bears’ victories have been few and far between.
When those victories have happened, they have been memorable. It is not because they are rare. The wins have typically had some classic moments in the rivalry. We will get to those in a bit. First, let’s take a look at how the Green Bay Packers have come to dominate this rivalry.
