The Chicago Blackhawks had a very successful Eastern Conference road trip. They went 2-1-0 with some very impressive play in there. However, the one loss was to the New York Rangers who were back at the United Center to play the Hawks in Chicago on Tuesday. Like the first matchup, this one didn’t go very well.

The New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks had a very good game going into the third period tied at two. Unfortunately, the Rangers were able to score four goals in the third period to win the hockey game by a final score of 6-2.

The difference in the game was a reminder of how bad Stan Bowman was as a general manager. Artemi Panarin had four points in the hockey game (2-2-4) and that was the biggest reason that the Rangers were able to win.

Seeing The Bread Man dominate like that against the Blackhawks is truly a shame. You can make a claim that trading him to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Brandon Saad is one of the worst trades in the history of the franchise. Honestly, Stan Bowman should be fired again.

It gets worse when you remember their game against the Rangers over the weekend. Artemi Panarin had three points in that one so he had seven points in five days against the Hawks. The Rangers won that game 3-2 so Panarin had a point on all three goals scored.

The Chicago Blackhawks should have never traded Artemi Panarin away.

We don’t know for sure if Panarin would still be on the Hawks here in 2021 but they punted on another year or two of being awesome with Panarin in the mix. He only got better as the years went on and now he is one of the best wingers in the NHL.

Every time that this trade comes up, it should make Blackhawks fans extremely mad. It is a shame that the Panarin era had to end so quickly. It would have been nice to watch what the Hawks could have done in the two years left on the contract that Panarin had at the time of the trade.

It is also a shame that the Patrick Kane-Artemi Panarin friendship has to be across the benches now. They mess with each other during warmups and had a nice meeting during the morning skates which was really fun to see but their chemistry as teammates was truly special.

Unfortunately, he isn’t coming back so as angry as it makes everyone, it is time to move on. He scored seven points in six periods which is also an issue for the current team because they weren’t able to stop him.

There are other good teams in the NHL with elite players like Panarin so the Hawks need to be better defensively as well. They are off to Canada to play a struggling Montreal Canadiens team. This is a great opportunity to get the Hawks back on track and feel good about their game. It is also comforting that Artemi Panarin won’t be on the other bench.
