Allen Robinson has to finish the season strong for the Chicago Bears

It has been very apparent that, over the past few games, Darnell Mooney has become the go-to guy in the passing game. Allen Robinson has almost been non-existent. On the season, Robinson has only topped 50 receiving yards in three games out of a possible 11.

He has been uninterested at times, giving poor effort and looking as though his mind is elsewhere. After this season, Robinson becomes an unrestricted free agent (unless the Bears use the franchise tag again).

It is pretty much a foregone conclusion that Robinson will be playing in another uniform next year. However, just how much money will he command? Right now, he is pacing for just 523 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Both would be a career-low, outside of the year he missed due to an ACL injury.

This is more about Robinson’s future than anything else. He needs to finish the season strong, show better effort and be a great teammate. His contract next year depends on it. There aren’t many teams who will be lining up to pay Robinson top dollar based on his performance this season.
