2. Chicago Bulls fans can be thankful for Ayo Dosunmu falling to the second round

Let’s just establish this fact right now: there are not 37 rookies better than Ayo Dosunmu. The fact that this kid fell to pick number 38 in the draft this year is mind-boggling. Over the first few weeks of the season, Dosunmu has already been thrust into an important role.

And he’s thriving.

Dosunmu is renown as being “fearless,” no matter who you ask. The rookie point guard has proven that, time and time again. He isn’t afraid to hoist the long ball in tight moments. He isn’t afraid to aggressively defend. He isn’t afraid to go up and crash the boards over bigger and stronger players.

This kid is for real, and the Bulls should feel extremely lucky to have gotten him when they did. Remember, at one point during his college career, Dosunmu was a surefire first-round pick. He is well on his way to proving exactly that.

So far, in 16.5 minutes per game, Dosunmu is averaging 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists and is shooting 41 percent from long distance. It may not seem like much, but Dosunmu has definitely had his moments. He has given the Bulls double-figure scoring in three games so far, which is more than they could have asked from a second-round pick.
