4. Chicago Bears fans would be thankful if Justin Fields turns into a star

The last, and most obvious item of them all, is if quarterback Justin Fields develops into a star in this league.

Much of this will depend on who the Bears hire to replace Nagy, along with which offensive coordinator ultimately replaces Bill Lazor. In the right system, and under the correct leadership, Fields could develop into one of the most exciting dual-threat quarterbacks the league has ever seen.

Fields has shown flashes of becoming a star this season, even as a rookie playing in a broken system with a clueless head coach. His natural, athletic ability and leadership qualities make him a valuable, rising player in this league already.

The Bears haven’t had a notable quarterback since Jay Cutler, and that’s a bit of a stretch since was a guy that both drove fans nuts and also made some eye-popping plays. It just depended on the day.
