The Chicago Blackhawks are in a terribly bad spot right now. They have the sexual assault results out there now which caused many people to be fired not only with the Blackhawks but across the league. To a much less important degree, they are a bad hockey team as well. As a result of the allegations, Stan Bowman was one of many to lose his job, and rightfully so.

Bowman was fired for the allegation findings but he was also (to a much less important degree) a very bad hockey general manager. He allowed the Blackhawks’ on-ice product to deteriorate right in front of our eyes.

There were a lot of bad decisions by Bowman that led to the downfall of the team. He traded away stars like Artemi Panarin, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Phillip Danault, and Teuvo Teravainen amongst others. He also hired Jeremy Colliton who was just fired after their horrid start to the season. There are a lot of issues that need to be cleaned up within the organization.

In order to do that, they need to move forward in every way. They appointed Kyle Davidson to be the interim general manager but we don’t know how long that will last. They might need to bring in someone with a more notable voice.

The Chicago Blackhawks may look for replacements to be Stan Bowman’s successor.

Davidson might be a fine GM one day and he may even stick with the Hawks for a while. However, it may be wise to bring in someone else to start turning this thing around. These are three great candidates to be the permanent replacement for Stan Bowman:
