Chicago Bears: 3 contenders to trade with at the deadline
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears should make a trade with the Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are a team that, when healthy, could be a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Any time Lamar Jackson is holding the football, magic can happen. The Ravens just need to plug a couple of holes.
The first area Baltimore needs to address is at running back. They have dealt with so many injuries in their back field over the past couple of months, and just need a solid veteran to come in and assist.
Le’Veon Bell, Latavius Murray and Devonta Freeman have been fine at times, but Murray has dealt with an injury and the other two are showing their age. Williams has looked good when he’s gotten his opportunities this year, and with Khalil Herbert ascending, Williams is expendable.
The Bears should get David Montgomery back within the next couple of weeks, too.
One other player the Ravens could target is Eddie Jackson, assuming he’s healthy. Baltimore needs help in their secondary, as they’ve been destroyed in that area all year long. If Chicago could trade Jackson and a pick, just to get out of his contract, that might be worth considering.
