The Chicago Bears should trade Robert Quinn to the Kansas City Chiefs

One of the biggest surprises of the season so far has been the mediocrity we’ve seen from the Kansas City Chiefs. At times, Patrick Mahomes has actually looked human. The offense struggled last week against the Tennessee Titans, but quite frankly, that side of the ball should sort itself out sooner or later.

The real problem in Kansas City is on the defensive side of the ball. The Chiefs are 29th in both points allowed and yards allowed, and no matter how potent the offense can be when it gets back on track, that won’t cut it.

Robert Quinn is playing excellent football this season, and if the Bears were smart, they would trade him right now. Quinn is in the second year of a 5-year, $70 million deal and the Bears will have several holes to fill next year. Chicago needs to save some money against the cap, and dealing Quinn would help that cause.

Now, the question is, how will the Chiefs take on Quinn’s salary? And the answer might not be so simple, however that’s up to the front office to figure out. The cap can always be manipulated, as the Chiefs have proven time and time again.

In return for Quinn, the Bears get a fourth-round pick, which is much-needed capital for the future. Don’t forget, though, they save quite a bit of cash in the process.
