The Chicago Bears are 3-3 after being destroyed by the Green Bay Packers. The score of 24-14 didn’t reflect how little of a chance the Bears had against Aaron Rodgers and the crew. Now, the Bears go from one all-time great to the actual greatest of all time in Tom Brady. The defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to be the hardest test the Bears will face this year.

We all remember last year when the Bears somehow defeated the Buccaneers early in the season. Tom Brady forgot what down it was to end the game and it was over as the Bears forced a turnover on downs. That moment clearly embarrassed Tom and you can bet that he has it on his mind going into this weekend.

Although they went on to win the Super Bowl and the Bears proved to be a rather mediocre team, he is going to come ready to play. Historically in his career, he has been dominant against the Bears. Last year’s crazy game was the first time that he lost to them in his entire NFL career.

Before that, he was 5-0 in his career against the Bears. All five of those wins came with the New England Patriots prior to moving on to Tampa Bay. He has that 5-1 record, 15 touchdowns to four interceptions, and 1848 yards total. He has had plenty of luck against every team which is why he is the greatest of all time but he certainly has had fun playing the Bears.

Tom Brady has been really good in his career against the Chicago Bears.

Now, he is looking to get that first with Tampa Bay and he has a really good chance to do it. He has plenty of weapons that should be able to get it done at home. Their defense is also pretty good which is a problem for Matt Nagy and his offense. Justin Fields has shown that he has plenty of tools to be an elite player but they are a long way away from seeing it on a consistent basis.

Going up against the GOAT, however, should be a good test for Fields’ confidence. He has a lot to learn and this matchup should do wonders for him. He looked good at times against Green Bay but he also had a few rookie moments as well. His coaching staff hasn’t done him many favors and that probably won’t change any time soon but he has to work through it.

Even if the Bears don’t win the football game, it would be nice to see them stay in it. If they get blown out again it is going to be bad news. They have a very hard schedule coming up after this too so things are not good for the Bears right now. Tom Brady is a problem for them historically and it is hard to see it changing any time soon.
