Trading these players would be in Chicago Bears’ best interest

The Chicago Bears should trade quarterback Andy Dalton
Finally, the Bears should choose to move on from the better of their reserve quarterbacks in Andy Dalton.
Why trade him?
At this point, it’s Justin Fields’ team. Matt Nagy finally came to that conclusion and made it relatively clear. With Nick Foles still on the roster and unlikely to be moved unless he desires to be moved, Chicago will continue carrying three quarterbacks.
Injuries have become a problem in some areas, and depth is still tough in the secondary. Opening up another roster spot could do the Bears some good, and that’s the primary reason to trade Dalton.
Other than that, dealing Dalton could help net the Bears some additional draft capital. He’s on a 1-year deal, so it would have to be a contending team that needed better insurance in case of an injury. Maybe a team like the Ravens upgrades their depth in case Lamar Jackson gets hurt. Or, maybe the Los Angeles Rams or Arizona Cardinals are a potential landing spot.
Heck, let’s stay in that division. The Seattle Seahawks could be better off with Dalton rather than Geno Smith.
What could the Bears get?
It’s unlikely the Bears get anything more than a sixth or seventh rounder for a backup quarterback. But, any compensation would be worth moving Dalton since the Bears have another capable backup.
