The Chicago Bears need to trade Eddie Jackson now before it is too late.

Eddie Jackson was incredible when he first came to the Chicago Bears. He was drafted by Chicago in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. For a while, he looked like a major draft steal out of the University of Alabama. In his first few seasons, he was one of the best defensive backs in the National Football League.

Now, he has taken a major dip in his play. It has been a big reason why the Bears’ defense isn’t what it was a few years ago. He hasn’t made interceptions or defended as well as he once did. Jackson has also been very soft in his play as he seems afraid to make a tackle at any point. There were times against the Packers where he just let people walk around him which was incredibly frustrating to watch.

In order for Chicago to get a trade done, they would need to convince a team that he is worth it. They probably wouldn’t get anything big in return but it would be worth it to try. He is the type of player that may or may not still have some value but if a team is looking for some depth at the position, he could be their guy.

We don’t know for sure if the Bears will trade any of these guys but we can expect them to make a decision on the rest of the season soon. The NFL Trade Deadline is fast approaching and the Bears should probably be sellers. If any of these players are traded, it would be tough to see but it might be the best thing for the team long term.
