The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers are the original NFL rivalry that is now a century old. Unfortunately, the Packers have dominated the rivalry over the last few decades. The Bears look like they might be close to turning the tides but now is not that time. They have lost to Aaron Rodgers once again on Sunday by a final score of 24-14.

The game started off well. They played typical Chicago Bears football early. There was a sequence where Khalil Mack sacked Aaron Rodgers to force 4th down, followed by Justin Fields driving them down the field to the one-yard line, and rushing it in for a touchdown. From that 7-0 lead on, things started to go downhill.

Defensively, Chicago held their own for a while. They kept Aaron Rodgers at bay for a large portion of the game but they eventually broke through. Justin Fields made some nice plays but he looked like a rookie at times as well. As a result, the offense just wasn’t good enough against the Green Bay defense.

There was some optimism going into the game because of the way the Bears have played over the prior two weeks. The Packers are good but the Bears can beat them if they play at their best. Unfortunately, they came up just short once again.

The Chicago Bears fell to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday for yet another loss to them.

The good news is that, despite the loss, we saw more steps from Fields. As mentioned before, he looked like a rookie at times but he also showed the ability to make some big plays. He is able to scramble out of trouble to make/extend plays with both his legs and his arm.

It is truly a pleasure to watch him when he is making these types of plays because the Bears haven’t had a quarterback like that before. However, they need to continue developing him. He is clearly someone with a lot of talent that can help his team win football games.

Watching the Packers beat the Bears again is always less than ideal. Aaron Rodgers always seems to find a way to get it done when it matters most against them. That was evident in this game as well. He ran in a touchdown late in the game to make it a two-score lead and that was basically the end.

One day the Bears will turn this around. They are now 3-3 after this game which could be much worse. Next week is an even harder test than Green Bay. The Chicago Bears are headed to Florida to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady and his crew will be looking for revenge after last year’s big upset Bears win.
