Chicago Bears trade Allen Robinson in these polarizing deals
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears could trade Allen Robinson to the Baltimore Ravens
Has there been any more exciting player in the league this year to watch than Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson? The man continues to show he can, in fact, throw the football. Not only that, but he might be the league’s most exciting runner, regardless of position.
The Ravens have been waiting to work in rookie Rashod Bateman this year after he had to work through a groin injury. Sammy Watkins and Marquise Brown have stepped in and played well, especially the latter. But, it still feels like the Ravens could afford to add one more big time weapon.
Watkins is what he is at this stage in his career. He’s nothing special. He’s fine. But, being able to put Robinson on the field with a healthy Bateman and Hollywood Brown? Now that’s enticing.
The Ravens could have the makings of a Super Bowl team if they are able to get some guys back and healthy on defense. Giving Jackson one more lethal weapon in his arsenal could be the catalyst for a big run at the end of the year.
Three of these trades see the Bears dealing Robinson to an AFC team, which is obviously ideal. Do not be surprised if Pace tries to make a move before the deadline. He’s always good for a surprise when you least expect it, and dealing Robinson makes too much sense when they’ll lose him anyways.
