The Chicago Bears could trade Allen Robinson to the Pittsburgh Steelers

A team that’s been incredibly frustrating to watch thus far is the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it might just be on the shoulders of one Ben Roethlisberger. Through five games, Roethlisberger looks like he is done.

But, because the organization respects him so much, they won’t bench him. They’ll allow Roethlisberger to go out on his own terms. So, in the meantime, they can only try to add more talent around him in an effort to make one more run. The Steelers will now be without JuJu Smith-Schuster for the remainder of the season. Bringing in Robinson might be a surprise move, but one that could really impact the season.

Roethlisberger has looked much better throwing short and intermediate routes than deep ones this year — although the deep touchdown to Diontae Johnson last week would disprove that theory.

Pittsburgh’s defense is good enough to win a Super Bowl if everyone is healthy. But, it’s been the Steelers’ offense that’s sputtered along this year. Getting a guy like Robinson to pair with Johnson gives the Steelers to excellent possession receivers with large catch radius’.

Then, they can still work in Chase Claypool all over the field and continue to use him as a weapon in a variety of ways.

The Bears would get a second rounder once again in this deal, giving them some much-needed draft capital next year.
