Before we completely thrust ourselves into Packers week, we hav to at least continue appreciating the Chicago Bears’ recent success.

At 3-2, the Bears have now won two straight games  and look to make a statement on Sunday against their biggest rival.

Their last two wins have come in more unorthodox fashion, if we’re being honest. Everybody wanted to see rookie quarterback Justin Fields unleashed at the first opportunity he had. Since he was officially named the starting quarterback going forward after the Lions game, many fans wanted to see the offense run through him.

Yet, Bill Lazor took the smarter approach and stuck to a physical run game to allow Fields to continue getting comfortable and play to his strengths. Along with the offense looking better over two weeks, the defense has only taken a step further in their excellent season as well.

The Chicago Bears have been among the league’s elite on both sides of the ball, believe it or not.

It sounds crazy to say something like that, but simple box scores won’t tell you the entire story of these Chicago Bears.

Whether or not it feels this way, the Bears are indeed among the NFL’s elite in certain categories this year. But, those categories wouldn’t necessarily be found in typical fashion.

Two particular areas the Bears have become great in are ones that go much deeper than the surface level stats. One of the following areas is fairly simple, but crucial to winning football games.

Nonetheless, there are three specific places the Bears are found near the top of the league. And for these reasons, they have a shot to continue their winning ways.
