The Chicago Blackhawks have a legit chance to make the 2022 postseason.

5. St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues may not be as good as they were when they won the Stanley Cup in 2019 but they are still a team loaded with talent. They should have what it takes to at least compete for the playoffs this season and should ultimately get in. We know for sure that they will put on a show when they face the Chicago Blackhawks.

4. Minnesota Wild

With Zach Parise and Ryan Suter gone, the Minnesota Wild are a completely different-looking team. They are fully in on the young roster that they have assembled over the last few years. They looked very good in 2020-21 and gave the Vegas Golden Knights a run for their money in the playoffs. Expect them to return with a  vengeance this year as well.

3. Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have what it takes to be a playoff team once again. It has been a while since they made the playoffs in a traditional season and this is their chance to do it again. With Jonathan Toews back healthy along with the new additions, they are going to be fun to watch.

2. Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets are a very good hockey team. They have superstars everywhere, including in goal where Connor Hellebuyck is one of the best in the world. They are going to be very tough in 2021-22 and believe they are contenders in the Western Conference once again.

1. Colorado Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche are clearly the favorite to win the division. They have the best roster on paper but they still need to go out there and win. With guys like Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Mikko Rantanen, and Gabriel Landeskog in the mix, they will be lethal in every way. They should be considered one of the elite Stanley Cup contenders going in as well. If they win the division and even the President’s Trophy, nobody should be surprised.

The Central Division is very good. It could be argued as the best division in the league. These predictions could look very bad in a few months based on certain teams surprising but we can agree that they are all going to be in the mix. This is going to be a fabulous season.
