The Chicago Blackhawks are going to have some stiff competition this season.

8. Arizona Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes are clearly the worst team in the division. They made a lot of big changes that are going to take a toll on their roster. They haven’t been a financially stable team in their franchise history either and it is now starting to become a problem. Expect this team to not only come in last but have draft lottery winning hopes.

7. Nashville Predators

The Nashville Predators are a team that used to be so good. Unfortunately, they have come down since then and have taken steps back every season over the past few years. They shouldn’t be too much of a threat in the standings this year but they have some good players that will make them tough to play against.

Roman Josi and Jussi Saros are elite players that are going to give teams fits in 2021-22. If the Chicago Blackhawks are able to contain guys like that, they should be able to handle the squad more times than not.

6. Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars have some great players like Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Alex Radulov, Miro Heiskanen, and John Klingberg amongst others. They were in the Stanley Cup Final in the NHL’s return to play bubble but weren’t able to figure it out in 2020-21. They might be a good team this season but for now, it doesn’t seem like they are deep enough to compete with the top teams in the division.
