Chicago Bears trade quarterback Andy Dalton in these 2 deals
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears should trade Andy Dalton to the Houston Texans
In their last two and a half games with Davis Mills starting, the Houston Texans have mustered up only 16 total points. That includes a 40-0 drubbing last week at the hands of the Buffalo Bills.
Since the rookie took over for veteran Tyrod Taylor, he’s had a rough go at it. Granted, the Texans stink. But, still, the offense has been maybe the worst in the league under Mills. Right now, head coach David Culley is hopeful to have Taylor back within a couple of weeks. But, would Dalton be an even better option?
Even if Dalton is able to start a couple of games before Taylor comes back, that would be a positive thing for this offense as a whole. Having Dalton there as a veteran presence along with Taylor would be a boost to this locker room as well.
In this deal, the Bears wouldn’t get much, but it’s something. The Texans would send a future sixth-round pick back to Chicago in exchange for Dalton, giving the Bears a little more draft capital after they traded such a pick for wide receiver and return specialist Jakeem Grant.
