The Chicago Bears should trade for Kenyan Drake

An even more interesting name the Bears could target is Las Vegas Raiders running back Kenyan Drake, whom the team just signed this year. Drake has spent time with the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals as well, over his six-year career, and many thought he’d be somewhat of a “1B” to Josh Jacobs this season.

Thus far, that hasn’t been the case. Jacobs has even been hurt already this season, and newly-signed Peyton Barber has gotten the majority of touches instead. In fact, Drake has only carried the ball 22 times in four games this season — hardly enough to establish any kind of rhythm.

Drake has experience as a starter in the past, which definitely helps when trying to replace a guy like Montgomery. Funny enough, he was actually teammates with Damien Williams back in Miami at one point.

There’s no telling what the Raiders would want for him, but at this stage, it couldn’t be much considering Jon Gruden has given more opportunity to Barber and Drake has taken a back seat. Adding him to the back field would bolster the depth in a big way.
