Chicago Blackhawks: Jonathan Toews is all the way back

The Chicago Blackhawks were back in action on Wednesday for their first preseason game. It was awesome to see the team back in action but it was better to see Jonathan Toews back on the ice for the Hawks. He missed all of 2020-21 with some health-related issues. We didn’t know if we would ever see him again but now he is back.

Toews is one of the best captains in the history of the National Hockey League. He is also one of the greatest Blackhawks players of all time. Having him back is great for him on a personal level but it should also really help the team out in terms of hockey.

A lot of people were surely happy to see Toews back on the ice for the first time in almost a calendar year. He was outstanding for the Hawks in the bubble but didn’t get to have a follow-up year. Now, it is time to see what Toews can do in this return.

The Hawks made a nice little video montage for him during his first game back. The crowd was certainly pleased to see the captain back in action. He also had a very nice interview with Eddie Olczyk during the game which made a lot of fans happy. These are some beloved people in this town and everything is starting to feel good with this team.

Jonathan Toews will play a big role in the Chicago Blackhawks’ success this year.

During the game, Toews was awesome. He had an assist in regulation on a goal scored by Dominik Kubalik. He also scored a very sweet goal in the shootout which gave them a chance. They ended up falling to the Detroit Red Wings in the aforementioned shootout but all that matters is seeing the right players perform well.

There are a lot of options for Toews this season. He may begin the season as the second-line center but you never know how the rest of the preseason works out. With Tyler Johnson and Kirby Dach there as well, the Hawks should be very good down the middle.

Some players just look good in certain uniforms. There is no doubt that Jonathan Toews looks amazing in that red Chicago Blackhawks sweater. The fact that he looks good on the hockey side of things is awesome and will really help the Blackhawks. However, it is really nice to know that he is healthy and good to go. Look for the captain to have a really nice year.
