The Chicago White Sox are a brilliant team. In fact, they are the best team of the four men’s pro sports leagues that play in the city of Chicago. One of the best athletes in town is Luis Robert and he led the White Sox to their 90th win of the season. He has been so good this season since returning which has really helped the White Sox get to the postseason.

Robert hit two home runs to go with Yoan Moncada and Gavin Sheets each hitting one. The White Sox won the game by a final score of 7-1 over the Cincinnati Reds. Reaching 90 wins is extremely impressive for any baseball team but the White Sox looks like a team that can do it for the next decade.

It is the 20th time in franchise history that they reached their 90th win and the first time since 2006 when they went 90-72. Their next win will surpass 90 wins for the first time since 2005 where they ended up with a 99-63 record and a World Series championship. They don’t have enough games to reach 99 wins but they have plenty of talent that can help them win the World Series.

Tony La Rusa and Rick Hahn deserve a lot of credit for where this team is at. Hahn built a brilliant roster and La Russa has helped them through some tough times this year as far as injuries. If they were fully healthy all year long, 100 wins would have been a legit possibility.

The Chicago White Sox should be so proud of their 90-win season in 2021.

They are hoping that they can continue to stay hot going into the postseason. Thanks to a makeup game on Monday, they have three straight wins against three different opponents. With one more against the Reds and then a weekend series against the Detroit Tigers, they are in great shape.

This is only the beginning for this White Sox core. If they win the World Series, nobody should be surprised. If the Houston Astros beat them in the first round, nobody should be surprised. The American League is loaded with great teams and anything can happen. However, the White Sox put themselves in this position which is very fun to watch.

Now that 90 wins are out of the way, getting that starting rotation, bullpen, and lineup ready to go is extremely important. Carlos Rodon is on the bump tonight to try and figure out his status. If he is good to go for the playoffs, the White Sox become that much more dangerous. Hopefully, they are able to keep it going and make this great sports town proud.

Winning the division is so nice for the Chicago White Sox. light. Related Story
