The Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns played against each other in a very uncompetitive game on Sunday afternoon. It was a game where the Browns looked like they were playing in a different league than the Bears.

Matt Nagy had the worst coaching performance of his career which led to an epic failure for Justin Fields in his first NFL start. It was so clear that the Browns were smarter and better at everything related to football.

The Bears’ offense was a disgrace. They had 47 yards of total offense and one of them came via the pass. The defense was fine for most of the game but they were gassed by the end. Matt Nagy didn’t do anything to help Fields succeed. The offensive line is atrocious but that wasn’t enough for Nagy to get Fields moving.

After the game, even the Cleveland Browns were surprised at how bad the Bears were on offense. Myles Garrett gave some quotes that are so concerning in terms of where the Bears are. They don’t even slightly scare their opponents. Every play on offense was something that the Browns knew they could handle and that is a big problem.

Matt Nagy is the biggest problem that the Chicago Bears have right now.

This conversation that Mike Florio mentioned on NBC last night makes the Bears look terrible. Garrett and his teammates were surprised at how ineffective Nagy was at calling plays. This is an all-world player saying this so football comes easier to him than most but he set a Browns’ franchise record with 4.5 sacks. Football shouldn’t come that easy to him or anyone else

Sacking Fields 9 times is a huge problem. He is going to get so hurt if that continues to be the case. Matt Nagy needs to go right now. The opposition is able to see what is coming to the point where they are saying it in postgame interviews and that is a major problem.

The Chicago Bears have a special talent in Justin Fields. We also don’t know how Mitchell Trubisky would have turned out if Matt Nagy wasn’t there. If they keep him, Fields will turn into Mitch 2.0. People don’t want to hear that but it is the hard truth.

Firing Matt Nagy won’t solve everything because Ryan Pace put out a very flawed roster. However, the most important thing at this point has to be developing Justin Fields. If the opponent knows exactly how to stop him because the play calling is so bad, he will never develop and eventually get hurt. Something needs to change right now.
