Category Five: Final season predictions

Anish Puligilla’s 2021 season predictions:

"The Chicago Bears will finish the season 11-6. Much of my prediction has to do with Justin Fields coming in sooner than people expect, the team having a favorable back half of the schedule, the offensive line staying healthy and building chemistry, and defense returning to 2018 form. I believe they will hover around .500 through week 10 of the season, but afterwards, when the defenses in the schedule lighten up, Fields will take off and guide this team to an NFC wildcard berth and first playoff win in 10 years in just his rookie season. 2021 Bold Prediction: The Chicago Bears defense lands three players on the 2021 All-Pro First Team: Roquan Smith, Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson."

Jordan Campbell’s 2021 season predictions:

"The Chicago Bears are closer to a bad team than they are a good team. Fields is going to mask some of their incompetencies but it won’t be enough to make the playoffs. Bears finish the year with a record of 6-11. 2021 Bold Prediction: The promise of Justin Fields enables Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace to hold onto their jobs."

Ryan Taylor’s 2021 season predictions:

"We can’t hide from the fact that the Bears have the third toughest schedule in the entire NFL. Playing against the NFC West and AFC North are very difficult tasks. Also, factoring in all the question marks with the quarterback situation, cornerback room, and offensive line health, I predict the Bears will finish 7-10 and miss the playoffs. 2021 Bold Prediction: The Bears performance will cause George McCaskey to let go of Ryan Pace or Matt Nagy, potentially both. Without actually knowing, it seems like the two (Nagy and Pace) are in the last years of their contracts, which would make it easier for ownership to let the two go."

Ryan Heckman’s 2021 season predictions:

"The Bears will finish 10-7 and barely miss the playoffs, forcing Nagy’s exit, and maybe even Pace. 2021 Bold Prediction: Justin Fields will flash every bit of potential as he totals 30 TDs in 14 games (25 passing, 5 rushing)"

Vinnie Parise’s 2021 season predictions:

"Record: 7-10 (miss playoffs) 2021 Bold Prediction: The regular season is a major failure because of Matt Nagy’s inability to let go of his ego."
