Congratulations! If you’re reading this you’ve not only survived the pandemic but also made it through the most grueling, frustrating, exciting Chicago Bears‘ offseason in recent memory. While all fans tend to know what they should be expecting of their favorite team by the time the season begins, this year’s Chicago Bears team has left fans puzzled.

However, while debate ensues about the wins and losses, Bears fans must be truly excited to see the development of some of their favorite young players on offense and defense. Additionally, a return to the 2018-esque defensive scheme under new defensive coordinator Sean Desai has our attention as we look for Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson to return to prime form.

Furthermore, with Allen Robinson playing motivated on the franchise tag, the number of speedsters on offense, and elite running back room, attention will be fixated on Matt Nagy to see how his playcalling will leverage his team’s strengths while mitigating the weaknesses on the offensive line.

This brings us to Matt Nagy, who has already run out of runway with the fanbase despite making the playoffs twice in three years. The pressure is on Matt Nagy to develop Justin Fields and deliver a quality offensive product this season or he could run the risk of completely alienating the entire fanbase which may leave ownership without any option but to fire him even if they love his collaboration, internally.

Chicago Bears fans everywhere are extremely divided on the team’s 2021 season outlook.

Lastly, the most obvious storyline that everyone is going to be keeping an eye on is Justin Fields. Will he play? When will he play? What is the Chicago Bears’ ceiling with him? Fans have been pining over these questions since April and everyone’s eyes will be glued to the TV on Sunday, hoping Nagy comes to his senses and starts Fields.

Here at Da Windy City, we’ve been arguing about these same questions both in our articles and behind the scenes, and so we decided to share some predictions with the rest of Bears nation.

What follows here are five categories our Bears analysts cast predictions on for this upcoming season. They include the 2021 standout offensive player, standout defensive player, breakout player, what week Justin Fields comes in, and overall season predictions.
