Players who could make surprise impact, Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Rams: Justin Fields

On a recent episode of the Fantasy Football Today Podcast by CBS Sports, analyst Chris Towers brought up an interesting viewpoint. Towers said that he has been getting real “Tom Savage vibes” from the Bears’ quarterback situation.

He insinuated he would not be surprised if the Bears come out of halftime and you see Justin Fields out there, replacing Andy Dalton.

Then, just yesterday, Rams head coach Sean McVay talked about how he is preparing for Fields in some fashion on Sunday night, which went along with some folks beginning to wonder if Dalton’s leash would be extremely short.

Nagy even told the media on Monday that he’s preparing for different scenarios, which essentially allows him to start Dalton while being ready to send in his rookie on a moment’s notice.

If Dalton comes out and stinks it up in the first half, then there’s no doubt Nagy could let Fields take over in the third quarter.

Let’s say Fields gets his shot this early. If he does, then this would be his chance to announce himself to the world — on prime time for the whole world to see.
