Chicago Bears Roster: 3 trades with Broncos to bolster cornerback

3. Chicago Bears Roster: Trade for cornerback Kyle Fuller
Lastly, the Bears could come full circle with an old friend. Kyle Fuller was cut earlier this season so that Chicago could go out and sign Andy Dalton, among other moves. But, Fuller’s departure did not go over well with players or fans, and now the Bears have a chance to right the wrong they made.
In order to get Fuller back, the Bears would pay a premium. It’s understandable that a second-round pick would be a tough price to pay for a guy who would only be on a 1-year deal, however the Bears could also look at extending Fuller and ensuring they don’t lose him again.
Fuller is on a $9 million deal this year, which is much more doable for Chicago than the average of $14 million per season Fuller was earning before.
Fuller is a former All Pro and Pro Bowl cornerback who knows the defense. He has the chemistry built with those guys. He and Johnson were a fantastic duo together last year when they were both on the field. Bringing him back would strengthen this unit in such a big way — and would be well-worth the cost.
