Chicago Bears Roster: 5 early cuts that could help Bears

Chicago Bears Roster: Recently-cut Madre Harper could be a sneaky add
One of the things the Bears have been missing in their cornerback room is a guy who can be physically imposing and offer athletic upside. Former Oklahoma State and Southern Illinois standout Madre Harper was cut by the New York Giants after becoming a special teams ace and is now an interesting name available.
The Bears’ cornerback room is maybe the worst in all of football, if we’re being honest. Outside of Jaylon Johnson, none of the remaining corners truly deserve to start. At this point, the Bears could bring in a number of different guys to compete.
Harper might start out as a special teams guy again in Chicago, but again, he offers some excellent size and strength. He might end up surprising.
Defensive coordinator Sean Desai is one who wants to be more aggressive than former coordinator Chuck Pagano. In order to be more aggressive, sometimes you’ll need guys who can physically impose their will. Harper is that type of player. Even if he came in during certain packages, Harper could affect the game in a positive way for the Bears. He’s worth a shot.
