The Chicago Bears roster should not include Daniel Archibong or J.P. Holtz

5. DL Daniel Archibong

The Bears’ defensive line is pretty well set, therefore Daniel Archibong probably didn’t have a real shot to make the final roster. However, he could end up being brought back on the practice squad.

Chicago could keep Archibong, along with London, on their practice squad if they so choose. But as for the active roster, Archibong was never going to find a place there. The Bears have too much talent up front.

6. TE J.P. Holtz

Going into the game against Tennessee, many believed it was J.P. Holtz who would end up as the Bears’ no. 4 tight end. In fact, Holtz didn’t even play against the Titans. It was Jesper Horsted who got the bulk of the snaps and made the most of them.

After the Titans game, Horsted may have swayed coaches to keep him over Holtz. The way I see it, Horsted is a much more valuable weapon than Holtz and does a lot of things Jimmy Graham can do. Holtz, meanwhile, is more of an H-back type who can line up in a variety of spots. But, the Bears don’t need someone like that.

Horsted should have cemented his place on this roster, while Holtz will be out of a job.
