The Chicago Bears roster should not include Riley Ridley or Josh Woods

3. WR Riley Ridley

This is the moment of truth for the Bears coaching staff and the wide receiver room. It is time to cut ties with Riley Ridley in favor of Rodney Adams. For whatever reason, Ridley’s game just hasn’t translated to the pros.

Adams, meanwhile, has proven he can be a weapon, making all kinds of acrobatic catches and showing he’s a sure-handed wideout. Ridley should get another chance on another team, no doubt. But, his time with the Bears is up. Once touted as one of the better route runners in his draft class, Ridley will have a shot to remind another team of that label.

4. LB Josh Woods

This is a very difficult one, especially after watching him against the Titans. Josh Woods did about everything he possibly could to earn a spot on this roster against Tennessee, coming up with 11 total tackles including two for a loss.

The tough part, here, is that Christian Jones and Alec Ogletree have also played well and probably deserve a spot on the roster over Woods. Ogletree seems like a lock at this point, with how well he’s played in the preseason and during camp. Jones is also a former starter in Detroit who is familiar with the Bears and should be considered a sure thing.
