The Seattle Kraken and Chicago Blackhawks making a trade could really help both.

The Chicago Blackhawks could really use one more defenseman. With both Caleb and Seth Jones, Jake McCabe, Calvin de Haan, and Connor Murphy in the mix, there is a good competition for that number six spot. It could be won by someone like Ian Mitchell or Nicolas Beaudin, or it could be taken by someone that the Blackhawks acquire via trade. The Seattle Kraken might be able to help with that.

Seattle did a very nice job drafting defensemen at the expansion draft. They have studs like Mark Giordano, Jamie Oleksiak, Adam Larsson, Vince Dunn, Carson Soucy, Hayden Fleury, and Jeremy Lauzon. One of them is expendable for a forward and in this proposal, Strome for Soucy seems fair. The Blackhawks would be getting some cap relief and the Kraken would be getting another forward to add depth.

If the Hawks added someone like Soucy, they would have an even more formidable defense. They are looking to be much improved over where they were in terms of giving up chances. Soucy could help them with that and join a team that is looking to have a big year. It could be any of those defensemen but this seems to be like a good trade for both teams.
