Chicago Bulls Rumors: Possible trades to land Tobias Harris
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bulls could go big in trying to trade for Tobias Harris
Before anybody calls this crazy, there is a logical explanation here. Yes, Zach LaVine has become the face of the Bulls. He’s proven he can be the number one scorer on a team and even earned his first All Star bid this past season. Most fans, myself included, want to see LaVine here for the long haul.
However, there is a world where Karnisovas may want to move in a different direction if he doesn’t see LaVine as part of the long-term future for the Bulls. LaVine has come out and said that he wants to feel respected in his next contract, and Karnisovas could opt to pass if the money is too much in his eyes. If that’s the case, trading him for something would make sense.
In this scenario, LaVine would head to Philly along with Satoransky and Markkanen. Once again, the Sixers and Bulls would work out a sign-and-trade with Markkanen as part of the deal.
To go along with the three players, the Sixers would also get a future first-round pick. That’s one heck of a haul for a player who has yet to earn his first All Star nod in Harris, so the Sixers would also include sharp-shooting guard Seth Curry in the deal.
At this point, the Bulls would then potentially be able to go sign their point guard of the future as well, after finding that they do not have to extend LaVine.
