Chicago Bulls realistic free agent point guard options: Kyle Lowry
Lately, there has been a lot of talk regarding Kyle Lowry being part of a sign-and-trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, however nothing has been agreed upon. Lowry will hit free agency and likely be asking for a deal around $90 million over three years.
The 35-year-old Lowry is on the tail end of his career and will probably be looking for a chance to win one more title, but if the money is right, you never know where he’d end up signing.
The Bulls may not want to pay Lowry an average of $30 million annually, but if he would accept something a bit cheaper, Lowry would be an excellent signing. He’s an experienced point guard with lots of playoff games under his belt, and can command an offense with the best of them.
Last season, Lowry averaged 17.2 points, 7.3 assists and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 43.6 percent from the field.
If Lowry doesn’t end up being part of a sign-and-trade come Monday, he’d be an ideal option for the Bulls. It would come as a bit of a surprise if he signed in Chicago, but he would turn the Bulls into an immediate playoff team.
