The Chicago Blackhawks might want to take a look at someone who has a rising stock.

The Chicago Blackhawks may or may not be in line to select Kent Johnson from the University of Michigan. He could fall to their pick but his stock has been rising. If they believe that he is someone worth selecting, they should go up and get him for that reason. He is a very good player that has the potential to be really good. Whichever team gets him could end up with one of the better players in the draft. It feels like his sock is rising because people are realizing that he is going to make a lot of teams that pass on him pay.

Johnson is going to return to Michigan in 2021-22 to play his college hockey once again. He will be joined by his teammates Owen Power and Matt Beniers who will both be top-five picks. They all played together there in 2020-21. Luke Hughes, another player who will be a top-five pick, is going to attend Michigan in 2021-22 as well. These four playing together should really help all of them grow.

It is his creativity that makes him such a good forward. He is a centerman by trade which would be perfect for the Hawks as they continue to build towards the future. He has incredible puck handling skills and he combines them will his brilliant hockey brain to make big plays. If he continues his development, the Hawks have lots of great wingers to play on a line like that.
