The Chicago Blackhawks would win the offseason if they landed Jack Eichel.

The Chicago Blackhawks know what it is like to have superstar forwards. Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews have been two of the best forwards in the entire 2010s decade. They might be looking for their next superstar forward right now and that could be Jack Eichel of the Buffalo Sabres. He seems to be out of there and the Hawks have been linked more than once.

Eichel would immediately become the team’s number one center and would be for the next decade. He is truly one of the ten best forwards in the NHL and nobody knows it because he has been stuck with the lousy Buffalo Sabres. As bad as the Hawks have been, at least their stars have been able to shine in the regular season. Eichel would do amazing things in this town.

Giving up that 2021 first-round pick on the draft night would be a must. Adding someone like Kirby Dach to the trade sounds like a lot but it would be so worth it. Even if Dach becomes a star he will never be as good as Eichel. Adding Ian Mitchell to the trade might be an attempt to make it fairer for Buffalo, that is how great Jack Eichel is. Some people are against huge trades like this but the Hawks would instantly become a better team with a superstar like Eichel.
